There are few shops that can claim as extensive a background in this area as CMC can. The builders and tuners at CMC are all racers themselves with lifetimes of serious on-track experience in a wide range of racing and performance applications.
CMC Co-founder Teddy Kempgens has not only been racing all his life, but was the president and chief designer and builder at Creative Motorsports before combining that business as part of CMC’s formation.
As a driver, Teddy has been a competitor and winner in stock cars, production based sports cars, Can-Am and GT cars. As a builder, he has designed and built winning GT cars, production based sports cars, oval track cars, spec series cars and drag cars. His GT chassis have been successfully campaigned in GT-1,2 and 3 all over North America with drvers like Greg Donahue who has driven them to multiple consecutive championships. Teddy developed, built and prepped the championship factory Saturn race cars and was even called upon to design and develop the cars for the Panoz racing school.
Tom Bambard, CMC President, has been racing since the age of five. His experience includes SCCA-Pro, Speed Challenge, NASCAR Craftsman Truck, Rolex Grand Am GT and many other regional and touring series’ of stock-car and road racing classes. That experience even includes professional F1 Sidecar racing. Throughout his career, Tom has built and prepped many racecars as well as providing engineering support for chassis design and development.
Both Teddy and Tom have won numerous races and championships with experience at hundreds of road courses and paved and dirt ovals all over North America including; Daytona, Sebring, Mid Ohio, Road America, Martinsville, ORP, California Speedway, Talledega and on and on.
As the backbone of the racing and performance shop, their combined experience provides a level of expertise you would normally find only at factory supported race shops. Whether you’re endurance racing, trading paint at a local bull ring or just want the ultimate performance out of your street car, CMC can develop a plan to meet your performance requirements.
